온The ritual
One night, four movements
15:00
차Check-in tea
Roasted barley tea and a warm towel at the lounge counter. Sit on the raised platform, take your shoes off, look at the gate for a while.
20:00 — 01:00
목욕The bathhouse
Rinse first, sitting down. Then the pool: hot, then cool, then hot again. A pine tree in the courtyard watches. Talk softly or not at all.
23:30
온돌The ondol night
Set your floor panel anywhere from 24 to 32°C. Korean sleep starts at the floor and works upward. Blind down, lamp to its lowest amber.
08:00 — 13:00
쉼The slow morning
No one knocks. Porridge if you want it, tea if you don't. Checkout is 1pm when you book direct — the whole point of the house.
Sunday Morning, sleep in.
